Harman Kardon Remote App Reviews

The remote and the BDS-280 disconnect after a period of time and dont reconnect unless you kill the app. Sometimes the only way to get the app to connect is to power cycle the BDS-280. I bought this unit since it had an app so I could hide the box out of sight. Also when you are in some settings there is no easy way to go home to the main menu. Harmon for the level you try to put yourself in this is not acceptable to ship a product that works this poorly.

It is stated in the Manuel that you can adjust the bass on the HK Aura and such using the app. However this option is not found!!!

Like many others have said. The app simply does not work well with the Aura over wifi. It constantly disconnects and it cant find it. Heck it cant find it even when AirPlay is working just fine streaming the music. Its also not intuitive at all. Im not sure why they had to include the music playing elements. It would be better if they limited the app just to sound adjustment, input selection and updating firmware. Speaking of updating firmware it does show and upgrade button, but then it says refer to the product support page for info. Why?? There is no info for firmware upgrades on the website.

This connected fine with all my apple products but has stopped working since the latest update. I cannot find any support to work out whats wrong. Very disappointed to spend so much for a speaker that no longer works

This app is only good for adjusting the volume that all it does for me. The help menu is just terrible because it not helpful at all. It wont allow me to update the firmware or change the setting

Terrible app, Im getting ready to delete it after this review. The ONLY thing the app is good for is volume which I can control on my iPhone 6s any way. No treble, bass or balance. Not only that, it says you can download your "library"-no you cannot. Very disappointed in an otherwise reputable company. Love the Aura, but DO NOT download this app.

Simple does mostly what iPhone can do anyway.

If I could give an app a zero, this had be it. This app has literally no purpose. It doesnt accomplish anything useful and defeats the purpose of being called a remote. Its a shame such a beautiful product line comes with something this unintuitive

Dear Harman Kardon, please or solve the issues with your application or delete it from the store, it doesnt work with my AVR 151S but it detects.

Does not work with Aura at all. Junk. Dont waste time and brain cells trying to get it to work.

App can not turn on my receiver. Volume takes forever to raise or lower. Should be a sliding scale not tap up or down. All I want this app to do is power on, change sources, adjust volume quickly, and turn off. It can only do two of those things well.

I would have rather just bought a separate remote. This app is useless!

Simply put, cant believe someone actually thought that this is a functional app that should be published.

This app is really awful. Horrible time with dropped connections and constantly uninstalling and reinstalling to get it to work. No tone controls or ability to see what radio station you are playing. Bad. Needs a lot of user friendly updates.

App cant find any of my wi-FI sources, cant play music on my iPhone unless I manually add it to the app. Cant adjust anything on the Aura except volume. Does play music with BT.

This app worked great at first for my HK 1170 receiver then suddenly quit working. I ended up resetting my router and the receiver. Its up and works great again. Very convenient not to have to search for a remote, having all features on the phone app.
